Air Conditioner Blues

by smitty1247 @ 2008-06-27 - 08:03:35

Started after work when I got home. I came home to find my AC wasn't working in the house. So I shut it off and went into the attic to look over the unit. In order to get into the attic I have to go through a window outside of the house. This requires unscrewing the window from the frame (large single plane window). Gently placed the window in the attic and proceeded to check over said unit. Nothing wrong. Went to exit the attic and heard a crack 88|. Shit!. Looked back, window was shattered >:-(. Oh yeah, a serious storm was brewing in the horizon. It's gonna rain, hard. Can't fix the window so I put some plastic over it.

So I've got a service call to get the AC unit recharged with freon and now I have a window to replace :**:. Joys of home ownership.

Oh and it was your window, and is your AC, they truely are joys!
If they were someoneelses you'd have to badger people for replacements! not good!

If it wasn't that the house is so small there might be the ladder pull thing.

PMSL!!

Did the plastic hold? A heavy storm could easily tear that down.
