Destruction

by smitty1247 @ 2007-10-19 - 07:30:45

Why is it we feel so good after tearing stuff apart (physical things people). It's like an instant stress relief for me. I guess in my case it is the calm before the storm. In a few weeks I have to put it all back together again. :**:

At least I get some relaxation before the real stress kicks in.

I would love someone to give me a complete china dinner set, which I am only allowed to use expressly for the purpose of hurling on the floor and smashing when I'm feeling incredibly pissed off.

You a bit of a "bubble" then?

(explanations of rhyming slang available on request)

Er, freak?

"Bubble and Squeak" = Greek.

what with all the china smashing desires.

;)

See, I got the bubble and squeak bit, just didn't know what it meant.

Think my guess was probably just as accurate :)

What then, have you ripped up? A telephone directory? A peace treaty? A set of someone elses clothes?

Do tell.

:)

Machinery like they use in flour and food processing plant.

20 yrs of paint and silicone is no match for how pissed I've been lately.

Just hook a chain to some equipment and rip it apart... don't care what happens to it. Same pleasure (I imagine) as going into you ex-mother in laws dining room and accidentally knocking over her hutch.

:D

Destruction's my (second) favourite stress reliever. Though in my case it's attacking trees with chainsaws. James.

Destruction there is a perverse sense of pleasure we get when we destroy something. Shadow side of our psyche.

I believe it works to advantage if it is something that you have to tear apart like a building or an old fence on the farm. Save it for those moments in time when you need to de-stress.

Something that also works well after a day at the office is to come home and chop wood. Now I happen to love having a wood fire here at the ranch. But there is always the pleasure of chopping someone's head off when I truly had to keep my lips sealed at work. De-stress!

I think it makes a case for giving everyone a wood stove and a 10 acre woodlot. Works for my hubby and I!

There is always something comforting about the shattering of a wine glass. It's usually a mistake but even so.

Farmer John has moved his lovely black angus cows & bulls onto our pasture. Now that's destruction! He's had to fence off the bush land so they don't destroy all the trees and undergrowth! I so enjoy seeing them! Here the ranchers use donkeys to stay with the herd. The donkeys keep the coyotes and wolves away from the cattle.
