Good news everyone, Kathy is finally able to go home from the hospital today (Saturday)
. It has been 2 weeks since she has seen true daylight. Her parents have got things set up for her at their house, where she will stay because she can not be alone. I am relieved. Home health will come by once or twice a week to check on her incision. It will be nice to get to sleep in the same bed as well.

She is still on limited activity for 6 months and is required to wear a back brace that long.

Wow, I had no idea. Sounds like you've been through the mill in recent weeks, so sorry to hear that.
Glad to hear she's doing so well. Good luck with the recovery to come - and I hope it brings you both closer and strengthens your relationship.

I think it will bring us closer together. It opened eyes to make us both think about where we are headed and what we want in life. We have to make sure we're on the same page.
